La disponibilité et l’abordabilité des logements sont devenues un enjeu majeur de la politique canadienne. Et tous les gouvernements – fédéral, provinciaux, territoriaux et locaux – ont un rôle à jouer. Le sondage de la Confédération de demain de 2024 visait à comprendre dans quelle mesure les Canadiens approuvent ou désapprouvent les actions de chacun de leurs trois gouvernements dans ce domaine.
Le sondage révèle que les Canadiens sont plus susceptibles de désapprouver que d’approuver la façon dont chacun de leurs gouvernements (fédéral, provincial et municipal) gère l’offre de logements abordables. Plus d’une province sur trois n’approuve pas la gestion du logement abordable par le gouvernement fédéral, sa province ou sa municipalité.

Abstract
The availability and affordability of housing has emerged as a top public policy issue. And it is one in which all governments – federal, provincial and territorial, and local – have a role to play. The 2024 Confederation of Tomorrow Survey of Canadians set out to measure the extent to which Canadians approve or disapprove of the actions of each of their three governments in this area.
The survey finds that Canadians are more likely to disapprove than approve of how each of their governments (federal, provincial and municipal) is managing the supply of affordable housing. In no province do more than one in three approve of the federal, their provincial or their municipal government’s management of this issue.
